It’s been a long time in the making, and of course a little overdue. But a big warm welcome to the Merry Maid Yarn website.

As some may know it’s been a hectic couple of years of battling breast cancer, but I’m still here, surrounded by a magnificent bunch of folks that have kept the business going, during that turbulent time.

The business has managed to grow from strength to strength and in the future we hope to grow a little more. We still offer our additional classes, of glass fusion, simple sewing, quilting, willow weaving, led by dedicated individuals and of course we have our monthly social sewing day, run by Jane, our fabric guru.

My crochet weekly classes (all 8 of them) are fully booked and the waiting list is still growing! I am hoping to get a new teacher on board so more folks can learn, but this may take some time, apologies.

If you have visited lately you’ll have noticed new shelving is being installed and we are a little upside down and probably inside out, but we are getting there. This just helps us be more organised and of course be able to add new yarns.

I’ve also been joined by my daughter Katie on Tuesday mornings to help with serving and doing the dreaded stock.

In the future, this will be the place to book Glass Fusion Class, everything will be linked on our FB page.
